NCP to open Manchester call centre

NCP, the car parks operator, is expanding its Manchester operation with the opening of a new customer contact centre, which will create 100 jobs, mostly part-time.

The expansion is part of a plan to create two nation hubs for the business – one in London and Manchester.

Staff in the south have already moved from Croydon, while work on the new Manchester base on High Street next to the Arndale Centre, is due to be completed next month with the new facility becoming operational in April.

The company is already recruiting for the new call centre, which it is investing around £1.7m in opening.

Matt Thornett product manager at NCP said: ““At NCP, we are committed to providing the best service to our customers and the creation of the new contact centre in Manchester drives efficiency and standards.”

Staff at the new Manchester hub will handle inquiries from customers using NCP’s 600+ car parks . The private equity-owned company processes approximately 80 million customer transactions every year.
