Revenues grow for Aedas

GLOBAL architecture group Aedas, which has some 100 architects in its Manchester office, has reported a 12% hike in revenues in its latest figures.

The numbers for the year to December 2011 show global revenues of £158.8m and a pre-tax profit of £12.8m.

The Manchester office is engaged on projects in the UK, Europe, Middle, East and Asia. In the North West, the practice worked on Greater Manchester Police’s new headquarters and Darwen Academy.

European chairman Brian Johnson: “Although we are operating in difficult economic conditions, our business model allows us to focus effort and resources on key growth markets.  

“On the basis of our continued success in these markets and strong order book, we expect to deliver positive growth figures for 2012 and 2013.”

Aedas has 32 offices and around 2,000 employees worldwide. Significant projects include Al Bahr Towers in Abu Dhabi, West Kowloon Terminus in Hong Kong and Holland Park School in west London.
