Green for go for contractor Kimpton

AN ambitious Wirral heating and plumbing systems firm is targeting growing sales by more than 40% to £15m over the next two years.

Bromborough contractor Kimpton Building Services believes its growth plan will be underpinned by winning a government standard for installing green energy products.

The company, which had sales of £9m in 2011, has received accreditation to become an approved installer for solar thermal and heat pump products under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme .

Kimpton managing director Richard Kimpton said winning the MCS approval is an important advance for the business: “This is a massive step forward for us and our ability to offer clients the highest engineering standards at a much better price.

“We will be promoting our MCS backed service particularly hard to industry and manufacturers. First because they consume and waste a lot of energy payback periods for renewables are quicker and second because by using us they can claim back the Government incentive schemes.

“We have already built up extensive experience in solar thermal and heat pump installation as we sought MCS accreditation. Now we can offer all that expertise at a much more competitive price.”

Kimpton’s renewable division delivers solutions for heat pumps, solar energy, wind energy, biomass and rainwater harvesting as well as CHP (combined heat and power) and microgeneration.

Its other services include ventilation, air conditioning, electrical services and also acoustic engineering.
