Appointments: Commercial director for Bowdon Group; EHL Ingredients & more

ENGINEERING company Bowdon Group has appointed Grant Stuffins to the new role of commercial director.

Mr Stuffins will work with chief executive Brian Benson to help grow the £12m turnover business and . He is also responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the existing group portfolio which includes Diamondmasters, Ford Mainwaring, Sema Services and Skelair International.

He said: “Bowdon Group is a dynamic young company and the role as commercial director gives me the opportunity to put tried and tested business acumen to the test. It’s an exciting time and I’m really looking forward to supporting the existing leaders within the group to realise true growth potential.”

Brian Benson adds: “In spite of unrelenting and tough economic times, we have succeeded in establishing a sound group of companies. The past few years have been focused on consolidation but we are now firmly poised for a period of rapid expansion and Grant’s appointment is a building block in bolstering the operational infrastructure to facilitate this growth.”

FOOD ingredient supplier, EHL Ingredients, has welcomed a new recruit into its growing team. Debadutta Jayaprakash, 27, joins the Stockport firm as an assistant technical manager/

Mr Jayaprakash, a food science graduate, has four years’ experience in the sector. He will report into technical manager Mike Perrin.

THE Manchester office of national law firm Browne Jacobson has strengthened with the appointment of two new lawyers.
 
New partner and health law specialist, Amanda Callaghan, joins from Manchester law firm Hempsons. Prior to joining Hempsons, she practiced in the North West Regional Health Authority’s legal department. She is joined by legal assistant Louise Wallbank. a recent law graduate from the University of Birmingham.
