Energetix free to supply power

GREEN energy firm Energetix said it can now supply customers with electricity and gas.

The Chester business, which supplies energy through Flow Energy – formerly Kingston, has completed the Controlled Market Entry (CME) phase, a prerequisite for any new entrant to the retail electricity market.

Flow plans to start marketing to customer in April.

The company said the completion of the CME phase was the one of its “most significant milestones” and would allow it to build up a customer base earlier than originally expected, and ahead of the launch of its own Flow combined heat and power boiler.

Energetix has previously promised to provide its boilers free of charge in return for customers agreeing to purchase gas and electricity from the firm for a fixed period.

Managing director Tony Stiff said: “This is certainly the most significant achievement of the energy supply business to date. The completion of the CME phase proves that we have the ability to build and operate a successful energy supply business and allows us to sell directly to customers.

“We believe this is an excellent time for an innovative energy supplier to enter the market, particularly with many customers looking for a fresh, competitive and customer-focussed approach from their supplier.”
