Personal injury law firm in administration

A PERSONAL injury law firm that trades as Legal Gateway from offices in Salford has gone into administration.

Administrators were appointed to parent company Calibre Solicitors on February 20 from two firms, Harrisons Business Recovery and Insolvency and Blue Gate Capital.

Calibre is based in Eccles where it has around 6,500 sq ft at Orbit’s Orbit House in Albert Street.

The company was incorporated in 2006 and expanded in 2009 when it acquired Branton Bridge, also based in Salford, out of administration.

It is not known how many cases Calibre was handling at the time of the administration, and whether they have been taken on by another firm.

According to Companies House, Calibre’s sole director is Edward Johnson of Stockport, and the only shareholder is Joanne Clarke of Eccles. She resigned as a director in October 2008.

Neither administrator could be reached for comment.
