GREEN power specialist ENER-G Combined Power has appointed Ian Hopkins as sales director to drive UK and international growth.
Mr Hopkins joins the Salford manufacturing and engineering group from Dresser Rand, where he was director of client services (Power).
He said: “It’s an exciting time to join ENER-G, which has the breadth of products, funding resources and experience to deliver the cost reduction and carbon savings that organisations are seeking.
“The company’s UK manufacturing, research and development and service centre is very impressive. This ability to provide a funded CHP solution – from design and manufacture, through to the long term care of the installation – provides a real competitive advantage. It opens up exciting opportunities in both the UK and export markets and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”

MARKET research firm DJS Research has appointed Paul Hylands as operations manager for computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) Services.
Hylands, who previously worked at Co-operative Group, Mercedes Benz, O2 and British Gas, will take responsibility for managing and developing the telephone unit which currently accommodates 60 trained business-to-business and consumer interviewers.
Meanwhile, Jane Mannion returns to her previous role as operations manager for Fieldwork Services.
Matt Coulling, operations director at DJS Research: “I think the addition of Paul is a huge step for us – he has experience of larger scale telephone units which he can certainly utilise, but appreciates that one of the defining features of DJS is the feeling that every member of staff is an individual.”
