Santander opens MediaCity business centre

BANKING group Santander has boosted its North West presence by opening a corporate business centre at MediCityUK.

A team of four will be based at the new Salford Quays Business Centre at the Greenhouse, serving business customers with a turnover above £250,000. Clients can  access a full range of banking services, including asset finance, trade finance, invoice discounting, treasury and merchant acquiring.  

The team is led by Mike Rose, regional director for the North West and comprises relationship directors: Dave Parr, Ritchie Laughton and Graham Yates, along with relationship manager Andrea Yule.

In 2012, Santander grew lending to small businesses by 10% in the region, providing £282m of new funding to smaller firms in the North West.

This new centre is the first of its kind in MediaCity and being located in the Greenhouse means we are ideally placed to support the region’s high proportion of successful and fast growth SMEs.

“We are focused on growing our business lending and supporting the companies which make up the backbone of the local economy. We already have some great business customers in the area, and are thrilled that we will now be able to increase the time we spend with both existing and new customers.”
