Lettings latest: Doric FPD, Diversity Travel, and more

BURNLEY-based food packaging and decorations company Doric FPD has taken a 10,000 sq ft unit at Billington Road Industrial Estate in the town.

Doric FPD, which manufactures a range of food packaging, cakeboards and cake decorations for food producers, has agreed a five-year lease with landlord Maverick Investments.

Robert Ward, a director of the Doric Group, said: “The move to Billington Road signifies our intention for growth in the home baking and cake decorating sector. It also creates additional capacity for us to develop the Doric Cake Crafts brand in conjunction with our new catalogue and B2B website launch”.

TRAVEL agent Diversity Travel has taken 4,300 sq ft at Bruntwood’s Manchester One, pictured, formerly Portland Tower.

The company, which specialises in travel for the charity and not-for-profit sector has agreed a 10-year lease. It was previously based at Hanover House in Charlotte Street.

Sarah Burrows, development director at Diversity, said: “The lease is strategic in the on-going expansion and development of our business and we are thrilled with the standard and fit-out of our new office accommodation.”

Real estate solicitor Helen O’Neill from Turner Parkinson advised Diversity on the lease.

BUILDING and property consultant Tuffin Ferraby Taylor have agreed to a five-year lease on a 1,100 sq ft first floor suite at 15 Oxford Court, off Oxford Street in Manchester.

The firm said the expansion would allow it to take on more staff to deal with a growing workload.

Hugo Bradley, head of TFT in Manchester, said: “Our move to 15 Oxford Court will enable our business to grow, whilst giving us a central location from which to service our clients our regional and national clients, such as, The Crown Estate, Legal and General, Aviva and PRUPIM.”

WARRANT House in Altrincham’s High Street is now fully let after the final suite was taken by recruitment firm Code Resources.

The business, which specialises in the energy and engineering sector, has moved from Parkway Business Centre in Manchester.

It has has taken 920 sq ft on a five-year lease at £14/sq ft.

Steve Evans, director of Code Resources said: “We wanted to base ourselves in a town centre location to be closer to everyday amenities, whether for groceries, a good work out at the gym or some retail therapy.

“Altrincham not only ticks all those boxes but has excellent transport links with the Metro and motorway network. It has also given us the opportunity to expand our offices to accommodate future growth”.

Regional Property Solutions and Canning O’Neill acted for the landlord Grange Thorpe Properties.  The tenant was unrepresented.
