Turnover hits record at Exchange Chambers

EXCHANGE Chambers, the Northern set, has announced record turnover of £23.4m for the 2012- 2013 financial year.
The 10% increase comes at a time of profound change in the legal sector with huge changes in Legal Aid funding and the personal injury market just introduced.

“Considering the wider economy, it has been our best ever year. We are ahead of budget with all our departments performing strongly.”
Exchange comprises 140 barristers including 13 QCs.
Tom Handley, director of Chambers added: “Our commercial team has enjoyed a stellar 12 months, with high profile instructions in a number of major cases. Our personal injury team has also continued to lead the way in high value claims.
“We have continued to develop our service offering, launching a professional discipline & regulatory team and expanding our employment department.”
Mr Handley said Exchange is “well positioned” to meet the challenges ahead.
