Morris Homes gets to work in Northwich

MORRIS Homes has started work on the first phase of the Bridgewater Place development on the edge of Northwich.

The Wilmslow developer is building 22 three and four-bed homes at the former Brunner Mond Wallerscote Works site, which lies between Winnington Lane and Winnington Avenue.

It plans to build 400 as part of a 1,200-home development with othewr housebuilders David Wilson Homes, Barratt Homes and Taylor Wimpey.

The scheme will also include leisure and retail facilities.

Morris’ managing director Dave Hesson said: “We are building a brand new community at Bridgewater Park and it’s important to us that we involve local people in the building process from the very beginning.

“It was great that the pupils were able to join us to mark the groundbreaking and we’re looking forward to showing them how the site develops in the coming months.”

Mr Hesson was joined by children from the nearby Winnington Park Community Primary School.
