Kukri goes for gold with Commonwealth Games deal

LANCASHIRE-based sportswear brand Kukri is to be the official kit supplier to England’s Commonwealth Games team.

Kukri currently supplies bespoke sports kit for over 76 different sports to teams, clubs, universities and schools worldwide, and will supply all England delegation and competition wear for next year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. 

The contract will also see Kukri produce an exclusive range of replica team products for England fans.

Kukri’s founder and managing director Phil Morris said: “Kukri is incredibly proud that Commonwealth Games England has chosen us, as an upcoming sportswear brand headquartered in Preston  to provide their kit.

“It shows just how far we’ve come since we started in 1999. We’re already working very hard to provide our unique style of team identity, through made to order designs and custom fits to the many shapes and sizes of athletes and delegates. They’re all going to look great!”

Kukri has offices in nine countries including Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.

Formed in 1999, and majority owned by listed group JD Sports Fashion Kukri supplies sports teams including Lancashire County Cricket Club, London Wasps, Ulster Rugby, England Netball, and Wycombe Wanderers FC.
