Dame Sarah brings golden touch to Sports Tours
SPORTS Tours International, the Salford-based specialist tour operator, has signed Paralympic Gold medallist Dame Sarah Storey as its official brand ambassador.
The popular Cheshire-based athlete will now feature in the Swinton company’s marketing and PR activities and she will host training camps for first time participants.
She will be also be involved with Sports Tours International exclusive European training resort, Club La Santa in Lanzarote. Dame Sarah has trained at Club La Santa for several years, having first visited the resort 21 years ago as a swimmer.
Commenting on her new ambassador role, Dame Sarah said: “I have spent a great deal of time at Club La Santa and I’m really pleased to become an official ambassador for Sports Tours International, and be affiliated with the resort too.
“My aim is to help Sports Tours further position itself as one of Europe’s leading travel companies for people who love running, cycling and triathlons. But I’m really excited about their plans to focus on getting families more active and helping first time event participants prepare and perform properly.”
Throughout the two year sponsorship, Dame Sarah will write monthly blogs, comments, product reviews and interviews for the Sports Tours International and Club La Santa websites. She will also appear at a branded ‘Sarah Storey’ training camps in the UK and at the resort.
