Knight Frank’s Warrington double

PROPERTY adviser Knight Frank’s Manchester office is toasting two significant deals in Warrington.
The first has seen national builders merchant Travis Perkins sign a five-year lease on 68,000 sq ft self-contained unit at Spectra Business Park on Slutchers Lane.
The letting was secured on behalf of Maro Developments. Travis Perkins, which was represented by occupier specialist, C P Property Consultants (CPPC), and will use the Warrington premises as its North West distribution hub.
Andrew Johnson, surveyor, Knight Frank, commented: “Travis Perkins first put out a requirement for a new North West base via Colin Chivers of CPPC approximately five months ago.
“The requirement criteria included a circa 80,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse unit with a good sized yard and originally focused on a 10 mile radius of Warrington, so we felt that Spectra could fit the bill perfectly.”
Knight Frank has also disposed of a six-acre site on Loushers Lane on behalf of leisure group De Vere.
The site was sold to Alderton Loushers, which will occupy office accommodation on site. Some 70% of the site has subsequently been let to Premier Tanker Service, with the remaining accommodation being refurbished. There are also long -term plans to use the site as a mixed-use development.
Jane Ravi of Knight Frank commented: “Bearing in mind very few land transactions have occurred over the last couple of years it is an excellent achievement to have secured the disposal of the site to Alderton Loushers
“The site is well located to serve the South Warrington area and take advantage of the links to the M56 and M62.”
