Deal bolsters Conveyor Networks’ tech skills

LYMM-based conveyor specialist Conveyor Networks has acquired control systems firm Capley Marker Systems.

It said the deal, for an undisclosed sum, will allow it to offer clients more specialised services. The business supplies systems to factories and distribution centres.

Warrington-based Capley was owned by Bernard Capper and Karen and David Hopley.

Managing director David Carroll said: “As systems become more complex and there is an increasing reliance on high level IT, acquiring Capley Marker Systems who are leaders in this field makes absolute sense for us.

“Whilst we have always provided excellent software and controls services, the acquisition allows us to respond to the increasing demand from our clients and the market and take our service to the next level.”

The company has also appointed Mark Streeter as projects manager. Conveyor networks has four equal shareholders – David Carroll, Geoffrey Wooding, Sally Wooding and Stephanie Murray.
