Mediamix: Mediafour; CTI Digital; SKV

MACCLESFIELD video production company Mediafour has been hired to create a corporate video for Manchester-based multinational, PZ Cussons.

The project will take Mediafour around the world, visiting several international sites to document the activities of the healthcare and consumer goods manufacturer.

Director Jon Faulkner said: “This is an exciting and ambitious production to be involved with, but it’s also an important demonstration of how small to medium sized local business can still be a valuable proposition for international brands.”

Nina Shabanzadeh, head of communications at PZ Cussons said: “Mediafour presented a well thought through and creative concept for the video while also demonstrating a shared commitment to long-term partnership and for us, being based locally is a key part of that.”

MANCHESTER agency CTI Digital has won the design and build brief for the annual conferences for the open source Drupal platform.

DrupalCon 2014 holds two conventions, one in North America and one in Europe. Around 3,500 delegates are expected at the first in the US.

The agency was appointed after a nine-way competitive pitch. It has produced the brand and also designed and developed a holding page for the convention website.

Nick Rhind, chief executive of CTI, said: “This project positions CTI as among the best in the world when it comes to Drupal, it’s that massive for us. It could open the door to more overseas markets.

“From the completion of the pitch process, we had 10 days to deliver a brand, produce press materials and develop a website. It’s testament to our team that we have delivered such a strong brand. Now we are going to be seen by some of the brightest minds in the world – all the major users, developers and designers using the platform.”

PR firm SKV Communications has been shortlisted for Best Business Communications Campaign in the 2013 International Building Press (IBP) Communication and PR Awards.

The Manchester-based agency is the only North West entrant to be shortlisted in the awards, for its submission, ‘Bringing Woodnook Back to Life,’ a creative PR campaign to boost the profile of Manchester-based specialist housing developer PlaceFirst.

The new awards, which are sponsored by CAPSIG, the construction and property specialist interest group of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, aim to showcase and give recognition to in-house PR departments and public relations consultancies working in the built environment including architecture, construction, and residential and commercial property.

Managing director Andrew Spinoza said: “The SKV team worked closely with the client to bring the issue of ‘empty homes’ to life for media, using the PlaceFirst scheme as a powerful case study, proving a solution to the problem. The campaign was launched on the eve of the UK National Empty Homes Conference, ensuring that the topic was high on the media’s agenda.”
