Sladen Estates buys 200,000 sq ft Winsford site

SLADEN Estates has bought a 201,000 sq ft warehouse in Winsford from administrators acting for the former occupier DJM Logistics.

Derbyshire-based Sladen, owned by Nicholas Sladen and Nantwich-based Marbury Properties (Chester), is now marketing the Winsford One site at Winsford Industrial Estate to potential tenants.

Insolvency partners at Grant Thornton in Manchester were appointed DJM, owned by Michael Hickman and Ken Thelwall, in 2010.

Grant Thornton appointed Jones Lang LaSalle and Sanderson Weatherall to sell the site.

Richard Johnson, associate director for industrial and logistics at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: “Sladen Estates has experience on Winsford Industrial Estate where they developed Unit P150 in 2008, a new build unit measuring 149,000 sq ft on a 7.5-acre site, which is also located on Road One and was let it to Linpac Allibert.

“Winsford One offered Sladen Estates another nearby opportunity as it gives them a range of options to showcase their expertise as property developers.”
