NRL acquires Petrolic Consultants to create £120m turnover group

CUMBRIAN recruitment firm NRL has acquired specialist oil & gas recruiter Petrolic Consultants – the move wll take the combined group turnover to more than £120m.
Petrolic has more than thirty years’ oil & gas experience, which NRL said will complement its recruitment capabilities within the technical sector.
It added that Petrolic’s offices in Guildford, Cardiff and Egypt will enables NRL to better service clients’ UK and international requirements in the oil & gas sector.

In April, TheBusinessDesk.com reported that NRL has acquisitions in the pipeline to help it achieve sales of £100m this year, after completing a £16m refinancing with Barclays.
The Cockermouth-based company specialises in trade and technical staff, in sectors such as defence, IT, nuclear and aerospace, and operates from 11 sites around the UK.
In the year to December 2012, sales rose by 21% to £87.9m while gross profits were also up 21% to £8.4m.
