Valve manufacturer Frese sees sales leap

THE UK arm of Danish temperature control valve group Frese, has reported strong sales growth in the first six months of this year.

Frese, which is based in Burscough, Lancashire, said turnover to  the end of June rose to £1.5m, up from £1.1m a year ago. The 36%n year-on-year increase was above target.

The business has supplied major developments such as The Shard of Glass at London Bridge and is expecting a record year.

Having recently consolidated sales, assembly and distribution operations at its Lancashire facility, the business employs 10 staff in the UK, but aims to increase that number by the end of the year to meet current demand.

Frese was founded in Denmark in 1944 and opened its UK offices in Burscough, Lancashire, in 2004
