Insolvency Service probes tele-marketing firms
TWO related telesales companies from Greater Manchester have been placed in provisional liquidation at the High Court after an in vestigation by the Insolvency Service
Temple Design (UK) registered at Houldsworth Street and Leighton James Design of Thompson Court Stalybridge, sold advertising space in their publications to the owners of small businesses, using telephone cold calling techniques.
The Insolvency Service said orders placing the companies into provisional liquidation followed petitions presented on public interest by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills. The Official Receiver has been appointed provisional liquidator.
The case is now subject to High Court action, which will be heard on October 7 2013.
The directors of Temple Design (UK) are, according to Companies House records, Terence Paul Shannon, 48 and Brandon Leigh Temple, aged 37.
The sole director of Leighton James Design is 27-year-old Leighton James Temple.
