Former private equity boss joins Clearwater

CLEARWATER Corporate Finance has appointed financier Graham Hallworth as its non-executive chairman.
Mr Hallworth, a former partner in private equity firm Alchemy, has also recently been appointed chairman of Crown Paints following its acquisition by investment fund Endless.
During his career he has held board-level positions in companies including timber panel distributor Sylvan International, industrial products business Wardle Storeys, tenanted pub chain Innspired, retail jewellery business Goldsmiths and Bridgewater Hospital, a private hospital in Manchester.
He has more than 20 years experience as a businessman and private equity sponsor.
He spent five years with Alchemy, and was earmarked to become chief executive of car manufacturer Rover during the firm’s proposed takeover in 2000.
Clearwater partner Mike Reeves said: “Graham has wide experience in improving both performing and underperforming businesses and an in-depth knowledge of mergers, acquisitions and the needs of private equity firms. He will assist us with the continued growth of the firm and the further development of our service offering into restructuring and debt advisory work.”
Clearwater Corporate Finance is one of the leading independent corporate finance houses in the UK.
The company has offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and London and employs around 60 people.
