Jones Melling eyes acquisition targets

WARRINGTON-based chartered surveyor Jones Melling is on the acquisition trail after recording strong growth.

The firm, founded by Ken Jones and Gary Melling in 2009, is looking to target independent consultancies in Cheshire, Lancashire and London, with expertise in multidisciplinary areas.

Since its launch staff numbers have grown to 15 and offices have been opened in London, Preston and Chester. During the period annual revenue has grown from £63,000 to £635,000.

Mr Jones said: “Growing the business in difficult economic conditions has been a considerable challenge, but we are enormously proud of the fact that we launched in a recession and have grown, year-on-year, throughout it.  

“We are continuing to receive a breadth of work with retained clients that have been with us from day one and decided that now is the right time to launch the acquisition drive to really maximise on our current momentum. This is an exciting time for Jones Melling and we look forward to expanding our presence in key sectors.”

The firm’s clients include Allied Irish Bank, Capstone Care and Stephensons Solictors.
