Joseph Holt signs up for Heyhouses scheme

MANCHESTER brewer Joseph Holt has signed up to Worthington Properties’ £55m Heyhouses Lane development in Lytham.

The Garstang-based developer has already signed up Booths to run the supermarket which will service a new estate of 162 homes.

The 18.3-acre former Premium Bonds site at Heyhouses Lane was sold in May by Telereal Trillium for £9.5m.

Development director Russell Worthington said: “We have tried to create a micocosm of an English Village. A shop, a pub and a village green combined with housing for most sections of society. Booths and Holts have been the cornerstone for villages throughout the North West of England for the past 150 years.

“Their presence at Heyhouses will reassure the public of the Fylde that Heyhouses will be a centre of excellence offering Booths and Holt’s traditional high quality products with courteous and responsive service. Worthington Properties is proud they are partners in this scheme and that they will both continue with these ideals.”

Hollinwood Homes, Worthington Properties’ residential development arm, will build 30 new houses with the remainder being built by Cheshire-based Morris Homes. Architects for the scheme are Broadway Malyan and Leach Rhodes Walker, with Turley Associates providing planning guidance and advice.
