From parcels to iPads for Adams-Mercer

PARCEL2GO.com founder Fil Adams-Mercer is enjoying new success with a business that sells iPhone and iPad covers.

According to the entrepreneur his latest venture, TheSnugg, has sold 40 million imitation leather covers, generating around £12m in sales.

His son, Richard Mercer, is running Bolton-based online parcel delivery service Parcel2Go while he focuses on TheSnugg from Florida with other family members.

He said: “I was walking past the Apple store in Florida just before the iPad was launched and saw a long line of people queuing up down the road to buy one. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that this was going to be the next big thing and that competitive iPad and iPhone covers was going to be a winner”.

TheSnugg’s products are distributed in seven countries for products by Apple, Dell, Motorola, Microsoft, Samsung, Nexus and Nook.
