Liverpool Media Academy takes Federation House

PROPERTY group Downing has secured a 17,500 sq ft letting with Liverpool Media Academy.

It has taken all five upper floors of Federation House in Hope Street. The length of the lease was not disclosed.

The media, music and performing arts college offers a range of BTEC and HND qualifications. Federation House will be its third site.

Downing’s head of property management John Clegg said: “Federation House is a great building in a vibrant, cultural location with a rich heritage in the Arts. The building is a stone’s throw from the Everyman Theatre and next door to Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, and should provide a perfect home for LMA.

“Its layout is also perfectly suited for a college, with great views of the city and column-free floor plates which will offer a great teaching and learning environment.”

Richard Wallace, who founded the college with his brother Simon, said: “As a college, we are delighted to be working with property giants Downing, this is now our third campus in Liverpool and we know we are certainly in safe hands. We offer our students the best facilities in the best locations on Merseyside, allowing them to be creative and express themselves in a safe environment.”
