Paul Beck’s Bidtech gaining traction in charity sector

HE made a fortune developing data and call centre operator LBM and now serial entrepreneur Paul Beck is making waves in the charity sector.
The Cheshire businessman’s latest venture, Bidtech develops fundraising technology for the charity sector.
It already works with major charitable enterprises such as the Elton John Aids Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Prince’s Trust and the MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
Bidtech, an off-shoot of Mr Beck’s TEP Events International, launched an office in New York in April, which has helped boost its growth, with a 190% increase in event contracts during 2013.
Mr Beck said: “We have pioneered a number of innovations to help charities and corporate fundraisers harness the power of technology to increase donations.
“As awareness and acceptance of these benefits increases, we’re seeing a greater number of organisations asking for our help, as well as higher levels of repeat business from satisfied customers.
“Our work in North America also means that we’re developing a significant business overseas, something that will continue as we strengthen our presence in both the US and across Europe.”
Bidtech provides technology for fundraising events, using iPads and its own software to help charities operate silent auctions and harness other features designed to encourage donations and promote greater understanding and involvement of good causes.
