Appointments: Baker Tilly; TSK; Wilson Field

ACCOUNTANTS Baker Tilly has promoted two partners and three directors in the North West, as part of a number of senior promotions across service lines and regions in the UK.
The move follows the firm’s acquisition of RSM Tenon in September. The new North West partners are Gavin Stewart in restructuring and recovery and Mike Toole, who leads the firm’s operations and IT nationally.
Promoted to director are: Andrew Cowking, accountancy and business advisory; James Lye, audit and tax expert Marion Brewer.

MANCHESTER lawyer Antonio Guillen, head of the foreign property team at DWF, has been appointed as an Honorary Consul for Spain for the Greater Manchester, West and North Yorkshire regions.
Mr Guillen, dual-qualified in Spain and England, will support the Spanish Consulate in Edinburgh, which covers the north of the UK.
He said: “I am honoured to accept the role as Honorary Consul for Spain and look forward to providing assistance to the Spanish community in the area. I have worked as a solicitor in the UK for over ten years and know Manchester and the surrounding areas very well. It will be a privilege to be a member of the city’s diplomatic community in my new role.”

OFFICE fit-out specialist TSK has boosted its workplace consultancy and design team with the hire of Jayne Walker who joins from Overbury where she was senior designer.
Design director Martin Barber-Redmore said: “Having crossed swords many times over the years it was great to sit down and outline our plans for the future, Jayne completely bought into our vision and her appointment will certainly add an extra dimension to our talented team.”
Miss Walker added: “I had always respected TSK from a distance but when I understood where they are heading it was an easy decision to join at such an exciting time. I can’t wait to get involved with the team and am looking forward to working with some great people and clients.”

BUSINESS recovery and insolvency firm Wilson Field has appointed Peter Connor to lead its Manchester office.
Mr Connor, 39, has joined the firm as a consultant and will manage the company’s office at Spinningfields. He has more than 17 years experience and has extensive experience in corporate rescue and recovery, having previously been at Leonard Curtis and Begbies Traynor.
He said: “I am looking forward to continuing to raise awareness of the Wilson Field name to business across the North West. The company has enjoyed a rapid national expansion and has a growing reputation within the business recovery and insolvency industry in the UK.
Wilson Field, which has a head office in Sheffield, opened its Manchester site in February 2011.
