Digital ID spreads its wings as sales grow

A SMALL business supplying access card systems and accessories to major organisations such as the BBC and HMRC, has moved to a new base as it continues to grow.
Digital ID, which also counts bluechips including Mercedes, Nike, Ford and Nintendo among its customers, has moved from sites in Levenshulme and Stockport to a new 15,000 sq ft base in Stockport to cope with the increased demand in business.
The company, which saw turnover grow 25% in the year to July to £6.2m, is anticipating further progress in the current year and is optimistic of reaching £7.75m in the year ending July 2014.
In line with its sales growth Digital ID, has added nine apprentices this year to its staff and now has 36 employees.
The company, which provides ID card solutions including card printers, badge holders, software, lanyards and access control cards, is now trading at Crown Royal, Unity Way Stockport. The new HQ includes offices as well as a warehousing and distribution centre.
Managing director Jonathan Fell said: ‘‘Our new premises are a real milestone for us and have given us the perfect base from which to grow the business.
“The access control market continues to develop as security solutions become more and more sophisticated. We’re focused on providing our customers with the most advanced, efficient and cost effective products on the market.”
