Cleveland Cable buys Warrington warehouse

ELECTRICAL cable distributor Cleveland Cable has acquired a 43,000 sq ft warehouse south of Warrington.

The site, on Kingsland Grange near the M6, was being marketed at £1.55m. It has been sold by Irlam-based J&M Property Management which is run by John and Joanne Weatherilt.

Cleveland, which is relocating from other premises in the town, wants to use the building as a regional distribution centre. The agents on the site were WHR and Savills.

Gary Chapman of WHR said: “We completed this transaction in less than three weeks, which is a reflection not only of Cleveland Cable’s commitment to the building and their determination to secure the deal but also the fact that there is increasing confidence from occupiers who recognise that supply of good quality stock is rapidly diminishing.”
