Administrators called in at Middle England Developments

LIVERPOOL developer Middle England Developments has gone into administration.

Earlier this year the company completed the conversion of Merseyrail’s former headquarters in Hatton Garden into an aparthotel called The Richmond, pictured.

The firm, founded by Nigel Russell, was the subject of a winding up petition from HM Revenue & Customs, issued in September.

According to a Liverpool Daily Post story in August the company had debts of around £3m and Mr Russell was seeking an agreement with creditors, offering 45p in the pound.

Manchester insolvency firm Leonard Curtis was appointed to the business on October 30. No one could be reached for comment.
