SurveyMe pumps up with NW Fund cash

A SMALL, innovative company, which has developed a smartphone app for businesses to receive and reward real-time feedback from customers or employees has secured a six-figure investment.

The boost from the North West Fund for Venture Capital will allow Stockport-based SurveyMe, to hire new new technical staff and to continue growing.

Since its launch in 2011 SurveyMe has built a dedicated following from as far afield as New Zealand. It has around 6,000 active users in more than 53 countries. Subscribers include Abode Hotels, Everton FC, Brownsword Hotels, Hilton, Fastway Couriers (New Zealand) and Whangarei District Council, also in New Zealand.

The brainchild of entrepreneur Lee Evans, who runs the business with his wife Nicola, SurveyMe allows companies or individuals to create and send digital surveys to customers’ mobile phones or tablet devices to capture ‘point of experience’ feedback.

Lee Evans of SurveyMe said: “Smartphones and apps have made us all more efficient at collecting and processing information. With SurveyMe we set out to create a feedback app that can be used by anyone, anytime, anywhere on any device.

“This investment is really significant in helping us continue to compete on the global stage – a position we’ve already reached sooner than we thought was possible through word of mouth.”

Richard Young of Enterprise Ventures added: “SurveyMe has already built a strong customer base within the leisure and retail sectors and there is huge potential for its use within other industries. This investment will allow it to pursue growth by stepping up its marketing, further developing the software and expanding its reseller network.”
