Rehau takes 132,000 sq ft Manor Point

REHAU, a manufacturer of UPVC products for the construction and automotive industries, has signed a 15-year lease on Manor Point, a 132,000 sq ft distribution centre at Manor Park in Runcorn.

The company is moving from 3MG in Ditton, Widnes and making Manor Point its UK distribution centre, employing 60 staff and creating 40 jobs over the next five years.

Manor Point was speculatively developed in 2009 by Manchester-based Pin Property and originally occupied by medical equipment supplier Medline which left earlier this year.

Imran Younus, marketing director of Pin Property said: “The building is of a very high specification which allows Rehau to consolidate their UK distribution in a strategic location.”

Cllr Rob Polhill, Leader of Halton Borough Council, said: “It is fantastic news that Rehau have decided to remain in the borough and move to larger premises on Manor Park, a thriving business park in a great location. Their investment and confidence in Halton is most welcome.”

Rehau has signed up at a rental of £4.95/sq ft. CBRE acted for the landlord while B8 Real Estate acted for Rehau. Adam Hymes of Manchester Law firm Kuits advised the landlord.
