Appointments: Adept4; WFEL; CBRE; Bermans; Vincents & more

CHESHIRE IT services company adept4 has appointed Martin Perry as managing director.

Mr Perry, who joins the Daresbury firm from IT services company K3 Solutions, has more than 25 years’ experience in the sector.

adept4’s existing executive team led by chief executive Peter Birkett, chief technology officer infrastructure Paul Talbot and CTO software Steve Cosgrove remains in place.

Mr Perry said: “adept4 are an ambitious, focused team and are experiencing significant growth. I’m looking forward to working with the adept4 team to deliver the necessary infrastructure to ensure that future growth is delivered sustainably.”

WFEL, the award-winning Stockport-based manufacturer of tactical military bridges has boosted its sales and marketing team with the appointment of Steve Carr as international sales and marketing manager.

Mr Carr, who will relocate to the North West from the south, joins from lead generation company Prospect Latin America and brings with him extensive experience in international sales. He has worked in sales and distribution for more than 17 years with posts in Latin America as well as Eastern and Western Europe.

In his new role, Mr Carr will be responsible for driving awareness of WFEL and generating new leads, as well as providing support at leading defence industry exhibitions.

CBRE has added Jones Lang LaSalle surveyor Jamie Bottomley to its North West office agency team.

He will be based in the firm’s Manchester office working alongside John Ogden, Alex Russell, Kirsty Littleford and Michelle Rothwell.

KNIGHT Frank has made a key hire in its Manchester office, appointing Elaine Duffy as a partner in property asset management unit.

She joins from DTZ where she was an associate director in its property management division. During her six years at the company, she worked with a number of high-profile clients, including the Canal & River Trust and helping Manchester Airports Group to manage its non-operational portfolio.

David Porter, head of Knight Frank’s Manchester office said: “This is a strategic appointment that will boost our property asset management expertise across the region.  Elaine is heading up a growing team with responsibility for developing this area of our business and expanding our client base.”

LANCASHIRE law firm Vincents Solicitors has hired Chris Mathews as head of private client services. Mr Mathews was previously with Dickson Haslam where he was head of wills, probate and estate planning.
 
He is joined at Vincents by colleagues legal executive Donna Matthews, senior conveyancer Angela Hoggarth and legal secretary Karen Cooper.
 
At Vincents he leads a team of fee earners working across the firm’s six Lancashire offices. He said: “I was attracted by the company’s ethos of providing a great service at a reasonable price, and the opportunity to head and grow the private client department.”

Headquartered  in Preston, Vincents Solicitors has five regional offices in Garstang, Longridge, Knott End, Penwortham and, most recently, Colne.
Mr Mathews’ team will initially be based at Preston with a move to a new office in Lytham planned for early in the New Year.

COMMERCIAL law firm Bermans has appointed two solicitors to its   corporate team headed by practice leader Kieran Donovan.

Shahid Azam joins the Manchester office as an associate from Bury-based Clough & Willis and Barry Riley joins the Liverpool office as a solicitor from Bristol firm Metcalfes.

Kieran Donovan said: “The appointments of both Shahid and Barry come on the back of a record 12 months for the corporate team at Bermans in which we have firmly established ourselves as a go-to firm both regionally and nationally for large corporates, owner managed businesses and institutional investors.”
