Addleshaws advises on £176m takeover

A TEAM at Addleshaw Goddard’s Manchester office has advised AIM-listed Andor Technology on its £176m takeover by Oxford Instruments.

The Belfast scientific camera maker accepted a bid yesterday by Abingdon-based Oxford Instruments, which designs and manufactures tools for industry and research.

The Addleshaw Goddard team was led by corporate partner Roger Hart and included Duncan Wilson and Chris Hardman.

Mr Hart said: “We have had a very close relationship with Andor for many years, from advising on its IPO in 2004 to several acquisitions in recent years.

“Listed company activity is definitely increasing now. We have an impressive pipeline of takeovers, M&A, IPOs and secondary fundraisings for listed companies in the next few months.”
