No 4 St Paul’s Square tops out

THE ST PAUL’S scheme is set to become the “dynamic focal point” of Liverpool’s business quarter, according to the recently-appointed chief executive of Liverpool Vision Max Steinberg.

Speaking at a topping-out ceremony taking place at No 4 St Paul’s Square today, Steinberg described the St Paul’s Square development as “one of the most significant new office-led schemes in Liverpool city centre for a decade”.

“With the completion of this final phase, St Paul’s Square will help maintain development momentum and is a reflection of the confidence that exists in the city despite tougher economic conditions.

“A vibrant commercial district is key to continued growth of the city’s economy.”
St Paul’s Square is being developed by English Cities Fund and built by contractor Shepherd Construction.

The 126,000 sq ft No 1 building has already been let to law firm Hill Dickinson and No 5 providing 133,000 sq ft of offices has been let to DWF, Lloyds Banking Group and Edward Symmonds. No 3 contains a 400-space multi-storey car park for the scheme and No 2 will house 50 apartments and ground floor retail space.

English Cities Fund development director Darran Lawless said: “With the availability of grade A office space in Liverpool shrinking, this final phase of the scheme will provide the city with a marvellous and sustainable place to work.

“The lettings market has been slow but Liverpool has bucked the trend in the past and we’re confident it will continue to in the future”.
