Better Bathrooms branches out with Leicester launch

MULTIPLE award-winning retailer Better Bathrooms is making its first strep outside its North West heartland with a new showroom in Leicester.
The Wigan company, which secured £10m from the Business Growth Fund this year, is opening a two-floor, 30,000sq ft unit on Boxing Day, creating 20 jobs at head office and at the showroom.
Leicester is the fourth showroom in the Better Bathrooms portfolio, with successful stores in Wigan, Warrington and Manchester plus a Trade Counter in Leigh and its website betterbathrooms.com.
Since 2007 Better Bathrooms’ turnover has soared from £1m to £32m in the last financial year. Its goal is to hit £40m within the next 12 months.
Chief executive and founder, Colin Stevens, added: “I spent a long time looking for the perfect location for the fourth store and Leicester ticked all the boxes. The new showroom looks great and the team have been working hard to ensure they are experts on all our products and services.
“Leicester showroom is a fantastic addition to the Better Bathrooms brand – we’re all really excited to see the store open”.
In the past 12 months, Mr Stevens and Better Bathrooms have won 17 awards and citations including 33rd spot on the The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 and IoD North West Young Director of the Year 2013.
