THE Pie Factory studio at MediaCityUK enjoyed its busiest year yet in 2013.
Management said there had been a major increase in TV productions and commercials being filmed at the facility.
Its three sound stages played host to a range of dramas including Hebburn, starring Vic Reeves; Car Share with Peter Kay; and Ragged, directed by Johnny Vegas.
Studio manager Dean Sinacola said: “Over the past year, The Pie Factory has continued playing host to numerous dramas and an increased number of commercials. It has been great to see many returning productions back for the second, third and fourth series – with a few new shows and pilots utilising our spaces and music videos.
“The MediaCityUK business community has rapidly grown over the past year and the increase in companies moving in across the site has played a significant impact on the amount of inquiries and bookings we’ve had – highlighting the integral role The Pie Factory plays at MediaCityUK. We look forward to welcoming more productions this coming year”.
