Recruitment firm Vivid opens NW office

TECHNOLOGY recruitment firm Vivid Resourcing has launched its first North West office in Wilmslow, creating nine jobs.

The Wilmslow office will be headed up by Ryan Woods, a former Blackburn Rovers and England youth footballer. It has five staff at present, with the company looking to recruit another four “as soon as possible”.

Managing director Charlie Walker, who is originally from Stockport, will spend a minimum of two days a week in the region.

Mr Walker said: “It has always been my plan to open our second UK office in the North West and Wilmslow is a fantastic location to attract good local talent to work for us as well as having excellent transport links.

“Our best people can earn six figure salaries within a couple of years and we also reward success with regular trips to the likes of Barcelona, Berlin, Monaco and Reykjavik.

“We have a deliberate policy of recruiting consultants either straight out of university or of graduate age rather than taking from other recruitment companies, enabling us to grow and retain our own talent.”

Vivid, which has its head office in London, as well as offices in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, was founded by Charlie Walker in 2008 when he was aged 24.

Covering sectors including oil and gas, digital media, the NHS and the finance industry, the company is on track to increase turnover from £13.6m to £21m and has doubled staff to 42 in the last 12 months.

Mr Walker said: “We are one of the most profitable businesses of its kind in the UK with a focus on lower volume and higher margins. We are among the top 10 most profitable in the UK and our aim is to be the most profitable in the North West.”
