ISG wins brief for ACC Liverpool hotel

CONSTRUCTION firm ISG, which is leading the project to extend the Liverpool Exhibition Centre, has been appointed to build the proposed four-star hotel on site.
London-based ISG said the new total value of projects at the Liverpool site, to be delivered by its regional construction business, was now more than £50m.
The enhanced exhibition space will more than double the amount of space at ACC Liverpool to 15,225 sq m and features a public atrium, food and beverage outlets, meeting rooms and a business centre. ISG will build the hotel and Exhibition Centre Liverpool building concurrently, with the facilities set to open for business in 2015.
Chief executive David Lawther said: “I’m delighted to announce this latest high-profile win, which further demonstrates the improving conditions within the regional construction market.”
