Quindell swallows Accident Claim Helpline

QUINDELL, the AIM-listed outsourcing specialist serving the insurance, legal and telecoms sectors, has acquired personal injury firm ACH Manchester for up to £30.6m.

It is paying an initial £5m in cash and then £25.62 million in shares over the next three years for the Salford Quays-based firm, which trades as Accident Claims Helpline.

Quindell said the acquisition would allow it to take on significant volume from further organic growth expected in its legal services operation.

Late last year the acquisitive company set aside £50m for future “infil acquisitions”  after raising £200m.

Stockport law firm Gorvins advised ACH Manchester on the deal.

Corporate partner Paul Lupton said: “As a firm we have worked with ACH for a number of years so it’s great that we’ve been able to advise the company on such a significant deal.”
