Appointments: Kitbag renews Savage deal; ServicePower, JMW & more

ONLINE sports retailer, Kitbag.com, has announced the extension of its contract with current brand ambassador, ex-footballer turned media personaliity Robbie Savage.
The initial year-long deal between the Chadderton-based brand and Savage was agreed in December 2012.
The next stage of the contract will see Savage part in further PR and social media campaigns, as well as exclusive events for Kitbag customers. He will also be a roaming reporter in Brazil during the World Cup.
Kitbag chief executive Andy Anson said: “Working with Robbie has proved to be a great success; he’s a charismatic character with a superb sense of fun and his credibility as a sports star has helped Kitbag.com build its reputation across the sporting industry.”

STOCKPORT firm ServicePower Technologies, which develops field management software, has hired experienced industry professional Karl Hohmann, to the newly-created role of vice president, alliances and strategic partnerships.
Mr Hohmann joins from Diabsolut Inc, where he was sales and business development director. He will lead strategic sales efforts in the US and contribute his extensive field management knowledge and experience to the company’s product strategy.

MANCHESTER law firm JMW has boosted its medical negligence department with the appointment of solicitor Judith Farrow.
She originally trained as a barrister before becoming a solictor and joins from Maxwell Hodge Solicitors in Liverpool.
Eddie Jones, head of medical negligence at JMW, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Judith to our team where she will have the chance to learn from solicitors who have decades of experience of winning cases and supporting people who have suffered avoidable injuries due to medical errors nationwide.”

LANCASHIRE commercial law firm Harrison Drury has promoted two solicitors to the role of director.
The firm, which last month opened a new office in Lancaster, has promoted Colin Fenny and David Filmer.
Mr Fenny, 38, joined Harrison Drury in 2010 and is a commercial litigator. Mr Filmer, who joined the same year, is a corporate lawyer .
John Chesworth, managing director of Harrison Drury, said: “The firm has witnessed significant growth in the last few years, which has required us to develop our people right across the business. NES Global Talent, the Altrincham-headquartered technical manpower specialist, has boosted its Aberdeen office after re-hiring experienced oil and gas consultant Isabel MacVicar.
Ms MacVicar who has 16 years’ recruitment experience, returns to NES after a stint at Infinity Resources in the city.

WIRRAL digital company Webtise, which specialises in helping under-performing digital retailers, has appointed Chris Pattinson as head of digital.
Mr Pattinson, from Nantwich, has six years’ experience working in the ecommerce digital marketing industry and joins Webtise after leaving Midcounties Co-operative in the West Midlands.
He was previously responsible for establishing and leading the society’s digital marketing team.
