Neville buys again in Manchester

GARY Neville has bought an office building in Manchester which will be the home of his property consultancy business Zerum.

The former Manchester United captain has acquired 4 Jordan Street, a former print works close to Whitworth Street West with around 8,000 sq ft over three floors.

The Victorian building was renovated to a Stephenson Bell design, and the firm once occupied the site. The identity of the seller is not known.

It is Mr Neville’s second acquisition in the city centre after last year’s purchase of the old stock exchange in Norfolk Street which is home to Stock restaurant.

He is also in the process of building a 139-bed hotel next to Old Trafford and is involved in a joint venture with Ryan Giggs and Modus founder Brendan Flood which is aiming to unlock a 1.8-acre site that includes the police station and the neighbouring Manchester Reform Synagogue in Jackson’s Row.

According to Companies House Zerum is 70% owned by Mr Neville and 30% by Gerard Tivey. It was incorporated in 2010 and changed its address to Jordan Street in November. TheBusinessDesk.com understands it will focus on consultancy work, such as project management and planning.

Zerum’s spokesman confirmed the acquisition but declined to comment.
