Pet Crematorium bought by CVS

A LANCASHIRE pet crematorium has been bought by a veterinary chain for an undisclosed sum.

Rossendale Pet Crematorium was established in 1967 and employs nine people.

The thirteen acre site, which includes memorial gardens, aims to provide bereaved owners with the best option in coping with the death of their pets.

The company, which made an operating profit of £136,000 on turnover of £490,000, was bought by CVS which operates 151 veterinary surgeries across the UK.

CVS chief executive Simon Innes said: “The acquisition is an important addition to the CVS group of businesses as well as a natural progression for our company.

“In line with all acquisitions to date, it offers a high quality business with dedicated professionals.”
