Sudlows nets Electricity NW data centre brief

SUDLOWS, the Manchester-based data centre specialist Sudlows, has won a £1.7m contract to design and build a new facility for power distribution operator, Electricity North West.
The long-standing mechanical and engineering contractor will deliver a highly resilient, state of the art facility to support the critical infrastructure for its Warrington-based customer.
Formerly part of United Utilities, Electricity North West delivers more than 23 terawatt hours of electricity each year to 2.4 million properties and more than 5 million people across the North West.
Andy Hirst, global director for Sudlows said: “Electricity North West are one of the six companies that operate the 14 original electricity distribution networks in Great Britain. It is essential that the new data centre is designed to operate at the highest of standards to maintain resilience and uptime.”
