James Briggs invests in technical development centre

NORTH West manufacturer James Briggs,  (JBL) is investing £1.5m in a new  facilty in Oldham.

The new office will house the aerosol and consumer chemicals manufacturer’s commercial and marketing functions.

Located between the firm’s Royton and Chadderton manufacturing sites, the 10,000 sq ft premises will also be home to a state-of the-art technical development lab.
 
Chairman Jim Sumner said: “Due to the rapid development of JBL’s business and our ambitious plans for the future, we’re making a significant investment in purchasing and fitting out a new commercial and technical centre.  

“This facility will serve as our Centre of Excellence, where we can showcase our expertise and welcome key UK and global buyers to see our formulation development and packaging expertise first hand.”  
 
Max Bass, commercial director added: “This investment is great news for the region and is another major step in the continuing transformation of James Briggs. We are looking forward to the future with equal measures of ambition and confidence.”
 
The fit-out and relocation is planned for the first half of this year.
