Lettings latest: Iceland and Pizza Express sign up to Marine Point; and more

PIZZA Express and Iceland Foods have signed up to Neptune’s Marine Point Retail & Leisure Park in New Brighton.

The latest lettings mean occupancy now stands at 96%.

Pizza Express has agreed a 25-year lease on the 3,000 sq ft unit eight and will pay an annual rent of £50,000. Iceland has taken a 15-year lease at Unit 16/17, which has 6,144 sq ft and generates £92,000 a year.

Neptune said negotiations are in progress for the last remaining leisure units.

Project director Daniel Hynd said: “Since opening in late 2011, Marine Point has really established itself as a leading retail and leisure destination in the Wirral. Testament to this is the strong tenant line up it has attracted including Morrisons, Grosvenor Casino, Green King, Prezzo, Starbucks, La Tasca, Chimichanga and Loungers.”

The agents at the scheme are Savills and Mowbray Gill.

THE North West Coast Academic Health Science Network (AHSN), which supports NHS suppliers, has taken space at Sci-Tech Daresbury in Cheshire.

The organisation is one of 15 academic health science networks in England and works as part of the NHS to support would-be suppliers with strategic advice as they look to tap into the market.

It has taken 1,130 sq ft at Vanguard House and expects to take on 10 staff this year.

Dr Liz Mear, chief executive of the North West Coast AHSN, said: “We’re delighted to have established the network at Sci-Tech Daresbury. Innovation and collaboration are a key part of the campus’ culture and that is an ethos which strongly matches our own.

“Our aspiration is to see the Academic Health Science Network and Sci-Tech Daresbury become a centre of health care innovation of national and international repute and we’re very excited about what the future holds for the organisation.”
