The Write Angle’s right for financier Judith McMath

CORPORATE financier Judith McMath has acquired a majority stake in Lancashire PR and Marketing agency The Write Angle.

The regional director of asset-based lender Burdale Financial is not giving up her day job though, but will be working with managing director Angela Smith in a non-executive capacity to grow the Chorley-based agency.

She says her investment is the fulfilment of a long-held ambition to enter the corporate communications industry.

“I have seen first-hand the impact good PR and a well-defined marketing strategy can have on a business, and how it can help raise your profile, help you punch above your weight and grow your business.

“I have been looking at opportunities for a while, and The Write Angle has quality staff and clients and I look forward to supporting them to maximise their growth potential and expand the client offering.”

Founder Angela Smith has retained a significant investment in the agency and will continue to run the business day-to-day, while Judith will lend her expertise in terms of strategic direction and financial management.

Before Burdale Financial Judith was a founder of Enterprise Finance Europe and before that Euro Sales Finance. She qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in London and moved to Manchester to work with Grant Thornton in corporate finance.
