Claremont wins Police Mutual brief

WARRINGTON office design and fit-out contractor Claremont Group Interiors has won a competitive tender from Police Mutual to deliver its new Liverpool office.

Claremont is already on site at the eight-week project at the 13,000 sq ft office on the fifth floor of 20 Chapel Street.

The new office will provide accommodation for up to 114, giving the company, which provides financial services to police officers and their families, plenty of space for growth.

The office will include a call centre, meeting rooms, a training and conference facility, reception space and a statement Police phone box.

Peter Marr, operations director at Police Mutual said: “This move is more than just a new environment, it’s about supporting us as we move to a more collaborative and open style of working. Claremont had some great ideas about how to make every square foot count and the design really showcases our brand story and focus on customer service.”

Claremont joint MD Tim Frankland said: “Many businesses talk about bringing their staff together in one space but for Police Mutual this really is integral to their service offering.  Our design really embraces that and uses flexible breakout spaces to support more informal ways of working.

“We have quite a track record in Liverpool, having worked with some of the city’s biggest brands and in some of the most high profile buildings.  Police Mutual adds to that roster and gets 2014 off to a very positive start.”

Police Mutual is currently based in India Buildings. Claremont won a five-way competitive pitch.

Meanwhile Claremont is in the running for a regional BCO (British Council of Offices) award for its work on law firm Shoosmith’s new Birmingham office.
