WEBER Shandwick Manchester has been appointed to handle the launch of Zip World Llechwedd, Snowdonia, after promoting a similar venture in Bethesda.

Opening in May, the attraction will allow visitors to fly down 10km of wire in teams of four, reaching up to 60mph.

Weber Shandwick Manchester’s travel and tourism team will deliver an integrated media and social media campaign to “put Snowdonia on the map as the zip wire capital of the world”.

Managing director Jo Leah said: “Our award-winning campaign for Zip World in 2013 had a real impact on the business, which is exactly the kind of hard-hitting campaign we love to implement. In fact, we have an office full of converted ‘zip-liners’ since we all tested our mettle at the original Zip World during our last away day. We can’t wait to try the next one.”
