Clean Air Power revs up with follow-on order

AIM-listed Lancashire company Clean Air Power, which is developing dual-fuel engine management systems for heavy duty vehicles, has won a contract worth £500,000.
The company will supply19 Genesis-EDGE, Dual-FuelTM trucks to a so-far un-named major distribution company in the UK.
The trucks will be fitted with Clean Air Power’s Genesis-EDGE system at its facility in Leyland and delivered during the current quarter.
In a statement Clean Air Power said the customer already operates more than 100 of its vehicles and the repeat order demonstrates its continuing satisfaction with its products.
Chief executive John Pettitt said: “This is a significant follow-on order for our Genesis-EDGE product from this customer and adds to 28 Dual-Fuel systems that we have already delivered so far this year following orders placed in 2013.
“The strong demand for our products is being driven by the expansion of Europe’s natural gas refuelling network and the increased supply of vehicles available to retrofit.
“With further European orders expected imminently and the launch of new products in the US and Russia coming later this year I am confident that the company is on-course to meet market expectation in 2014.”
Clean Air Power was initially founded in the US in 1991. Around £50m has been invested in developing the technology. It was listed on the AIM market in February 2006.
